What Are You Thinking?

4 Jan

In the West African Spiritual Practice of Ifa Orisa, as with many other examples across the continent, there are three important pillars of the faith: inner spirit, ancestral reverence and the spirits of nature. All three are regularly called upon to assist with decision making, when devotees and initiates consult the oracle with the assistance of trained priests and priestesses. In the West, this is the task of the personal development life coach, the design thinking content creator and various other journey guide services. However you first have to acknowledge that you need help. This is the first step in the process, of reflecting on where your mind wonders to, when left to its own devices.

The thoughts which are whirling around in your head, will lead you in one direction or the other. If you are ‘a wondering generality‘, you will choose pot luck. If on the other hand you are ‘a meaningful specific’, you will clear a path and start a journey with purpose. Which is it to be?

Thank You 2020 Halo New Earth #3

1 Jan

As an Independent Researcher into indigenous nature spirituality in general and African indigenous knowledge in particular, I am grateful for all that I continue to learn, from the gentle power of the natural world. If the past 12 months have taught us anything at all, it is the importance of self reflection. Developing your power of thought, is the most important exercise you could engage in at this time. Remember if you don’t use it, it will atrophy.

Whilst doing one of my time and space reconnaissance, it occurred to me that, its the simple things in life, that will help us to navigate to dry land, during this quantum hurricane season. And the safest place to be right now, is in the safety of your wise-mind. The free webinar is no longer available.

Do All Living Things Have A Soul?

17 Sep
key words
Animism is the belief that objects, places, and creatures all possess a distinct spiritual essence. Potentially, animism perceives all things—animals, plants, rocks, rivers, weather systems, human handiwork, and perhaps even words—as animated and alive. Source: wikipedia [accessed 16-9-20]
The Collective unconscious refers to structures of the unconscious mind which are shared among beings of the same species. It is a term coined by Carl Jung. Source: wikipedia [accessed 16-9-20]
In the West African Yoruba tradition (and others across the continent), in simple terms, humans, animals and plans are all considered to be ‘persons’. This is not a unique belief amongst the religions of African Spirituality: Japanese Shintoism and Shamanic practices globally, hold similar beliefs. Carl Jung would perhaps site this phenomenon, as what he called ‘the collective unconscious’. Perhaps Raul Dhal himself was a healer of the human psyche, just like many authors who intentionally use their words as medicine. What do you think? Continue Reading Here.

Who should you invite into your sanctuary also called your life?

1 Mar

Who should you invite into your sanctuary also called your life? For every member of your network who decides to seek negative attention, there will be those who wish you well. They will be there for you in the good times and when there are challenges. This is what we call unconditional love. And as Damien Marley reminds us, “unconditional love is rare” (check out ‘There For You‘ by Damien Marley).

Now let’s look at those negative attention seekers. These are the people in your network who take advantage, simply because they know you and have access to your time. It could be a regular premeditated habit or an occasional, ”lets put a spanner in the works attitude.” Some call this the crabs in the barrel mentality. Click on this link to continue reading

How To Feed Your Destiny With Energy Medicine

18 Feb

In the Yoruba pantheon of energy signatures, Orisha Obatala is the owner of all heads. The head of a human is very important to our existence. What would you do without it? I hear you chuckling… But seriously, we could not live without it. We experience the world through our senses and the head is the main receptor of sight, touch, hearing, taste and smell. Our personal computer resides in our head, also called the brain. In the centre of our brain, is the pineal gland, which some say is the seat of the soul. We think with our brains. Be reminded that thought precedes action, therefore thought is a prerequisite to survival. Let your intellect triumph over your ego. And when we align our inner spirit with our head and our heart our journey is illuminated and we also help others to see the way.

And when we decide to use the language of Orun (heaven), we will be bathing in the energy of this pure life force. Orun is a place where all humans come from and will return to. You are responsible for choosing order or creating chaos in your life, here on Aye (earth). Energy medicine is anything that uplifts your spirit and challenges you to do better. When things are not going as well as you expected, there may be more than one reason for this…

Ifa Orisha Explanation of a Disease Pandemic

1 Feb

Death is our one true promise and if it is our time to leave earth, nothing can stop this from happening. Pre-mature death is quite a different matter. And we have no way of determining the difference between the two.

The 2020 Gregorian Decade, has greeted us with terrifying news of a disease pandemic, which has already taken many souls back to their ancestors. Condolences to their friends and family members. The Ifa spiritual practice accounts for this devastation by attributing the process to Orish Obaluaye. His name is a combination of King (Oba) and Earth (aye). His symbolisms are the crook, symbolising his authority and the small broom, symbolising his ability to clear away disease. He dresses in raffia to symbolise poverty, yet it is adorned with cowrie shells, a symbol of wealth. In the ifa system of divination he is associated with Oturopon Meji, the 12th binary Odu energy signature, where the spirit of disease is invoked. Orisha Egungun (the spirit of the ancestors) also features heavily in this reading. So what can we learn from these events? And how should we proceed going forwards?

Happy Sun of The Middle September 2018

23 Sep

It’s about that time again, the second sun of the middle for the year. As we know, this month marks a turning point towards winter (in the northern hemisphere) or summer (in the southern hemisphere). All the seasonal changes remind us to reflect on what has gone before, what we are doing now and what we can look forward to in the future. When we review and consolidate our knowledge and experiences, we are better able to make sense of our emotional connection to the past, the present and the future.

Review of A Modern Day Fable – Towards The Light

7 Sep

EXPLORING THE POWER OF EARTHS ENERGY AND THE ENCOUNTERS WE COME FACE TO FACE WITH – WHICH CAN BE AMUSING AND SCARY AT THE SAME TIME

In the video above, we are invited to listen to some comments and reflections, shared by author El Crisis. He is reviewing ‘Towards The Light’ Taken from book 7 ‘Crystalline Towards The Grid’, a collection of four short stories, which acknowledge the power of Earth’s Energy and our own spirituality. Each fable is a reminder that what we do, can cause a chain reaction and in the midst of what ensues, we have choices to make or they will be made for us. As we are reminded in the final moments of the story:

“…and when we no longer want something, having it doesn’t matter any more…”

SATURDAY 11th AUGUST THE LAUNCH DAY OF BOOK 7 WAS QUITE SPECTACULAR

Although the moon was new, so invisible to us, it was a super moon, meaning that it came the closest to earth that it can in its orbit. There was also a partial solar eclipse and a meteor shower. The above video reminds us to pay attention to what is happening in the heavens, before there was television, we were encouraged to take a view of the sky and go within to our inner vision: during these times, spirituality was seen as the most important aspect of the person. In various indigenous cultures and traditions this was the case. The further back you go the more so. Great emphasis was therefore placed on being mindful of ones surroundings and mindful of ones thoughts.

WHAT IS THE ULTIMATE MINDFULNESS EXPERIENCE?

Remember that reading is the ultimate mindfulness experience. Buy your copy of Crystalline Towards The Grid by clicking on the link HERE

The Completion of a Cycle and Cepheus on the Rise

25 Aug

PAY ATTENTION TO THE HEAVENS

NEW BOOK ALERT: CEPHEUS ON THE RISE IS READY HOT OFF THE PRESS. This small book of fables, has been named after one of the northern hemisphere circumpolar constellations. These stars take it in turn, over a cycle of 26,000 years, to position themselves as earth’s guiding light for those who can see it. How do we know this? Our African Ancestors were excellent mathematicians. Their observations led to the creation of the first calendar. This demanded the attention of serious scholars most of whom were priests and priestesses.

LET’S LOOK AT OUR ATTENTION SPAN TODAY

As we know and as it has been said, time keeps on ticking into the future and as it does, our attention span has slowly declined apparently from 12 seconds to 8. Meanwhile studies have found that on average, a goldfish can concentrate for 9 seconds! This is ofcourse contested by the nay sayers. However regardless of the figures look around for yourselves, and see where we are heading.  Amunet’s Fables have been written to address some of the concerns of our fast-paced living. The style and content are accessible to both accomplished as well as reluctant readers. If you sit quietly and undisturbed, depending on the speed at which you read, it is very possible to complete each book in about half an hour. Hopefully you will learn something about yourself, humanity and the universe and choose to re-read each story time without number. Apparently they are great at parties, at events and presentations and make good presents for all occasions too. Click on the link below for your hot off the press copy.

The Launch Day Special Offer is available for 24 hours only

THE COMPLETION OF A CYCLE

In keeping with marking time the indigenous way, today is a full moon. In astrology this phase represents the completion of a cycle, which was here before we were born and will continue after we return to the ancestral realm. Today the Amunet’s Fables series for 2018 has also completed a cycle. Cepheus On The Rise is the newest addition to the series. In mythology this constellation represents the Ethiopian king. The four short stories in this edition very much locates the man of African heritage at the centre of each narrative. You are invited to Invest a very small amount of time on being mindful. After you have read the book, do leave a comment, every one helps to spread the word.

AMUNET’S FABLES THE COLLECTION

There are now 8 books composed of a collection of short stories, flash fiction and poems. For now this will do. A special thank you to the reviewers. Please continue to add your thoughts on Amazon and buy the books whilst they are still available.See What Other Readers Are Saying
