Happy first of the month. The word February comes from the Roman word februum meaning purification and februa, referring to rituals used to be performed to clear the way for fertility of the land and of the people. February was seen as an important time to prepare for the coming of spring in Rome and other parts of the northern hemisphere. What is the date where you are? Marking time is not set in stone.
