African Emancipation And Ancestral Remembrance
1 Aug

The above image shows part of an aquatic museum of sculptures on the ocean floor off the coast of Grenada in the Caribbean. The artist is Jason deCaires Taylor. A celebrated environmentalist who has created a number of such monuments internationally. The theme of decay, rebirth and metamorphosis, is salient in all his creations. It is for this reason that his work is being highlighted.
Today is African Emancipation Ancestral Remembrance Day. The 1st August is celebrated internationally, to remember the great disaster which took place over five centuries and created satellite traditions of African heritage people, on every continent on earth. And in the spirit of finding order out of chaos, it is clearly a deeply poignant moment for all African heritage peoples. Many of whom, have no idea who their bloodline ancestors were or where they came from. Today the loss of liberty and life is commemorated, by the survivors of this crime against humanity. A fact which is eulogised in songs, poetry, art work, in sculptures, in dance, in fables and in any way that we as humans can relay a message, for the healing of a nation.Continue reading here…
Your Network is Your Net-Worth: True or False?
14 JulThe video above is part of a playlist selection of supporters who have reviewed my Fables Series. I would like to say a big thank you to my fellow content creators. Mutual respect and Infinite abundance.
Did I mention that my favourite past time is writing? I wrote my first unpublished story at aged 12. I keep a daily journal, and I encourage you to do the same. By the time I was in my mid 20’s I was a published author, as part of a writers’ collective. When I arrived at the gates of higher learning, a few years later, the books had sold over 5000 copies, mainly in the UK. All this happened during the pre smart phone era. As you can perhaps imagine, this was a big deal amongst members of my network, as well as my new friends at university. Did it go to my head? Well perhaps a little (smile). For those of you who have had the opportunity to engage in deep reflections, about life and the universe, you will realise how important this is for your personal development and your spiritual growth. It is not a requirement for you to attend university for this to happen. If you have not found your kindred spirits yet, search them out and make a connection. You will be glad that you did. Look around at the changes which have taken place over the past 90 days. What do you see? What do you hear? What do you feel? Evidence that change is the only constant. A new decade and a new way of being… Continue reading here
Tribute To Douglas Williams
20 JunThis is a Tribute to a kind hearted Warrior Spirit. A Brother and Friend to many. A man who knew the true value of community empowerment. Ancestor Douglas Williams, ascended master, we salute you.
Douglas was a regular supporter of our work here at Blue Water Family: he was the brother of ceremonies at many of the events and radio host to our international guest speaker Dr Charles S. Finch III.
We send condolences to his family and loved ones. In honour of his memory we have compiled a few of the testimonials which he gave after attending our gatherings. We have also included his interview with Dr Charles S. Finch III. Those who knew him would have heard a number of his favourite catch phrases. We have included some of them.

“Attending a Blue Water Family event is like being carried along on a calm sea of information, knowledge of self and the universe. There is a warm feeling of togetherness and relaxation whilst you are there and you take away many things to think about.” Douglas Williams Find Your Voice [Community engagement forum]
Rest in Perfect Peace From Amunet and Members of Blue Water Family.
“Dougie thanks for educating the Afrikan community supporting my yoga teaching and giving us a voice “ SisTAR imani
“Brother Dougie is a beautiful soul. Always had time for people… showed genuine concern and care for our community. He will be, sadly missed and lovingly remembered. R.I.P. Beloved.” Sista Maxine
“I met ‘Dougie’ just under 10 years ago. I understood his reach was wide, with over 3 decades of friendship and guidance for many members of the community. He supported and promoted many positive activities and events that I personally attended and helped to organise. Transcending “group politics”, Dougie was definitely someone we can call a bridge between different organisations. I sensed a seriousness about him, though he always greeted people with a smile. May his example continue to live-on in us, as his soul holds a seat among the others who worked and lived for our people.
Salute, Uncle.”

“Brother Dougie joins a long list of community activists whose departure enriches the ancestral realm while we remain the poorer. One of his most remarkable achievements, I remember in recent times, is his successful campaign in opposing the turning of Body Music premises next to Seven Sisters tube station, into a betting shop. The premises now occupied by Costa, the coffee shop, serving the local community better, should encourage us all as to how successful petitioning of local authorities results in them using their powers more responsibly, for community development. R.I.P Dougie” Emmanuel Amevor

Who should you invite into your sanctuary also called your life?
1 Mar
Who should you invite into your sanctuary also called your life? For every member of your network who decides to seek negative attention, there will be those who wish you well. They will be there for you in the good times and when there are challenges. This is what we call unconditional love. And as Damien Marley reminds us, “unconditional love is rare” (check out ‘There For You‘ by Damien Marley).
Now let’s look at those negative attention seekers. These are the people in your network who take advantage, simply because they know you and have access to your time. It could be a regular premeditated habit or an occasional, ”lets put a spanner in the works attitude.” Some call this the crabs in the barrel mentality. Click on this link to continue reading

Happy Solar Return Ancestor Toni Morrison
18 Feb
Today we honour the life of ancestor Toni Morrison, a writer who used invisible ink.
Toni Morison (born Chloe Ardelia Wofford), was the 1993 winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature and professor emeritus in the Council of Humanities, Princeton University. She spoke extensively about the relationship between readers and text. In one of her talks, she explains the process of writing with invisible ink, as being a tool which invites the reader to co-create the narrative with the author, one where the words dissolve and the experience of what is being described comes alive to all the senses, triggering painful or pleasant memories and also providing hope for the future.
Fellow African American, Dr Charles S Finch III, Indigenous Priest, Author and Master Teacher, shares his insights into the author as follows:
“Toni Morrison was one of the five to ten most important novelists of the last 50 years. But what interests me most about her is that she was a personal friend of both Jan Carew and Ivan Van Sertima. She is the one who shepherded Van Sertima’s ground-breaking THEY CAME BEFORE COLUMBUS through Random House, where she was an editor, and got it published there. So you might say that her influence on the intellectual history of the black world extended beyond her Nobel Prize-winning literary output.”
Those who find themselves gravitating towards the written word are usually, being influenced by the energy signature of Orisha Obatala. Owner of the white cloth and the head of all humans.

How To Feed Your Destiny With Energy Medicine
18 FebIn the Yoruba pantheon of energy signatures, Orisha Obatala is the owner of all heads. The head of a human is very important to our existence. What would you do without it? I hear you chuckling… But seriously, we could not live without it. We experience the world through our senses and the head is the main receptor of sight, touch, hearing, taste and smell. Our personal computer resides in our head, also called the brain. In the centre of our brain, is the pineal gland, which some say is the seat of the soul. We think with our brains. Be reminded that thought precedes action, therefore thought is a prerequisite to survival. Let your intellect triumph over your ego. And when we align our inner spirit with our head and our heart our journey is illuminated and we also help others to see the way.
And when we decide to use the language of Orun (heaven), we will be bathing in the energy of this pure life force. Orun is a place where all humans come from and will return to. You are responsible for choosing order or creating chaos in your life, here on Aye (earth). Energy medicine is anything that uplifts your spirit and challenges you to do better. When things are not going as well as you expected, there may be more than one reason for this…
